Celebrity Women Who Own Exciting Lifestyle Brands

Who is Martha Stewart? Several of our favourite female actors are now launching their own lifestyle companies! Reese Witherspoon, the Oscar-winning actress, is the latest female powerhouse to launch a personal lifestyle brand. Andrea Hyde, the ex-CEO of C. Wonder, is allegedly helping Reese develop a lifestyle brand based on her "winning style and Southern heritage." What other daring actresses have launched lifestyle brands?

Gwenyth Paltrow was the first celebrity to embrace the girl-power lifestyle movement. The 41-year-old actress established her own internet media firm in the fall of 2008 to share her experiences, recipes, and so much more. Gwenyth has been chastised for making her lifestyle brand too celebrity-focused (It's not inexpensive to follow Gwenyth's recommendations.

Goop is still going strong today, despite the fact that she offers cosmetic goods that cost hundreds of dollars.

Jessica Alba was the next actress to start a lifestyle brand. This mother of two is passionate about living an environmentally responsible lifestyle.

Jessica's web store provides everything from environmentally friendly diapers to cleaning supplies, bath goods, and body lotions and soap! Gwenyth's company is more journalistic in nature, with blogs and product recommendations, whereas Jessica's lifestyle firm is more of an Ecommerce store.

According to rumours Blake Lively, the actress, will be the next outstanding star to establish a lifestyle brand. The actress (and Ryan Reynolds' wife) has announced that she will soon establish a lifestyle business. "I have so many hobbies outside of acting and things I grew up being good at but don't use when acting," Blake tells Vogue UK.

What will be the focus of her lifestyle brand? "The important part is that it's about narrative and living a really unique, curated life, and how to achieve that." Blake appears to be going to give Gwenyth a run for her money!

Which other famous women do you want to see create a lifestyle brand? We believe Sandra Bullock, Beyonce, and Julia Roberts could all launch their own lifestyle brands.

Sandra's would be centred on remaining "authentic" in Hollywood, Beyonce's on creating the ideal image and style, and Julia's on living an eco-friendly existence in the country (she spends a lot of time at her home in Taos, New Mexico).

In 2016, Beyoncé and Topshop collaborated to launch Ivy Park. She hoped that the sportswear collection will "push the boundaries of athletic clothing and encourage and inspire women who recognise that beauty is more than physical attractiveness." Each item is meant to compliment the feminine shape and to address fit issues that Beyoncé herself faced.

Beyoncé purchased 100 percent of the brand earlier this year, breaking ties with Topshop. The singer's devoted followers have driven the business ahead, with 40% of Ivy Park's online buyers also purchasing her music.

Gwyneth Paltrow has gone from movie star to "modern lifestyle" expert, leading a health enterprise that garnered $50 million in Series C investment earlier this year. Goop's eCommerce site offers a carefully chosen selection of items ranging from premium knitwear to crystal-infused water bottles and tarot cards.

While Goop began as a newsletter providing readers lifestyle advice, Paltrow, the company's CEO and creative director, had the vision to leverage content to transform the educational platform into an exclusive shopping experience. Goop's current round of investment is earmarked towards foreign expansion.

Jessica Alba founded The Honest Company in 2012 with the purpose of providing families with ethical, toxin-free household and personal items. The Honest Company, which was inspired by the birth of Alba's first child, concentrates on baby goods but also includes cosmetic and home brands.

Alba's business is also concerned with social responsibility, giving personal care items and generating funds for underserved regions.

Kylie Jenner, the 21-year-old Instagram sensation, is on her way to becoming the youngest self-made billionaire in history, due to her wildly popular Kylie Cosmetics company. The firm catapulted to unparalleled success within a (literal) minute of its inception two years ago, expanding from Jenner's passion project of lip kits to encompass a full line of cosmetic goods.

Jenner is well-known for her ability to leverage her close relationship with her followers and consumers via social media to develop the items they desire while remaining loyal to her signature look.

Lauren Conrad, a former reality television star, established an exclusive eponymous line with department store Kohl's in 2009. LC started as a clothes line at 300 Kohl's shops and has now expanded into a comprehensive lifestyle brand with jewellery, accessories, and home items available in over 1,500 stores.

Conrad collaborates with Kohl's to mine consumer data, and she solicits input via social media to learn what her customers like and dislike, allowing her to grow her brand accordingly.

In 2015, actress Reese Witherspoon launched the clothing and homeware brand Draper James as an homage to the Southern lifestyle and culture in which she grew up. The company, named after Witherspoon's grandparents, gained popularity rapidly and earned $10 million in Series B investment.

Recognizing her consumers' devotion to her products, Witherspoon created collaborations between Draper James and other thriving companies in order to continue increasing her customer base and product ranges.

Most notably, Draper James has collaborated on a plus-sized apparel line with direct-to-consumer company Eloquii, as well as an exclusive home goods collection with Crate & Barrel.
